During this tough Harvest season and serious drought in big parts of South Africa, we pray for every agricultural farmer, who does not have the luxury of a secured salary at the end of the month but depends on times these!!

The silver lining though....... lovely concentrated wines.... but at what price? ....Workers losing their jobs? So next time if you pay R 10 more for a bottle of wine, enjoy your contribution even more!!!!

Biodiversity

Annex Kloof contributes part of their profits towards the removal of alien plants on the farm. Unfortunately many Fynbos areas are infested with these plants, especially the European pines, which suppress these regions. By eradicating these plants, an enormous amount of water is saved, benefiting towards the recovery of the Fynbos which form part of the Cape Floral Kingdom. A program to reintroduce game such as Eland, Zebra and Kudu, which once grazed the farm, has also been introduced. “We are working towards preserving, conserving and managing the farm’s natural biodiversity.”
